MNCR
You are an elite operative in the MNCR corps, charged with defending the 7 Houses of Man as they expand into the stars.
Your main tool: the Mecha-Nano-Control-Rig, or MNCR suit, that offers you limited influence on the very fabric of the universe. Everyone's control manifests differently -- are you a PyroMNCR, able to excite atoms to the point of combustion, or perhaps a LuxiMNCR, able to bend light to your will?
However you are gifted, you must use that power to defend the Houses of Man.
Overview
Tabletop role playing game system, default setting is a sci-fi universe, but agnostic enough to be reused for any setting. So that means no core “hacking” stat, for instance.
Current Status
Physical Prototyping
Core Problems
- I haven’t found an RPG system that I absolutely love, especially for sci-fi games
- I need to learn more about game design
Lessons Learned
- Mechanical balance is not as important as “Player Enjoyment” balance - OP skills can exist as long as everyone is having fun
- Mathematically balanced does NOT mean fun
Tools
- Dice
- Paper
- Pencils
- Scrivener, for world building
Current Objectives
- Set up a playtest at Gen Con
