Briefly active LLC I formed for part time consulting.

Overview

Anyone with a LinkedIn profile gets to know a lot of recruiters, and everyone has a buddy with an idea for the next killer app. Since I like writing code during the day, I figured I might as well write more code at night.

My other hobbies ended up filling up all my free time, so I finished off my open projects and retired the LLC a few years ago.

Current Status

Core Problems

• I needed a legal entity for consulting
• That legal entity needed an online presence (since taken offline)

Lessons Learned

• Contracts have a lot of words in them
• I don't like doing payroll. I even had a payroll provider just to pay myself, and it was still tedious and boring
• Everyone should make an LLC if they sell anything -- they are cheap and easy, and provide a lot of protection
